Combat Air Pollution In Your Neighborhood
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is the state's rubber stamp for air quality permits. The TCEQ allows the biggest polluters in the world to continue to fuel the climate crisis - all within the bounds of state law.
The permit tracking system overseen by the TCEQ is meant to deter public participation; it’s no coincidence it is one of the most confusing and difficult public systems to navigate. That’s why we’ve adopted a tool for community permit tracking and advocacy for neighborhoods in Nueces and San Patricio counties. Airmail is an open source permit tracking tool that was developed by Air Alliance Houston and January Advisors.
This page will get updated with the latest opportunities for you to take action against permits.
